Tigres at Lago 137

Recently re-opened and refurbished following the previous owners’ retirement, Lago 137 sits on a spacious corner near the bust of Pope Juan XXIII, after whom the neighbourhood is named, and behind the large fountain that I have always assumed is why they call it “Lago”. Works for me, anyway.

The tigres are meaty, once again. I think that they have a strong hit of celery, though the Burgalesa is not convinced that my palate is up to much, if that’s my impression. The Bechamel seems to be thoroughly mixed in or non-existent. Overall, the impression is that these are fresh, crunchy, and lightly food processed. Sherry is provided in a proper bottle, and is light: not too strong.

Nice, tigres, but not all they could be!
