The Burgalesa tells me that this place is known for their Tigres. I have high expectations when we walk in through the front door.
The Tigres are piled high on the bar, and look good! We ordered one each along with a caña and a portion of patatas bravas, and found a table at the back of the bar where we could sit while we waited for the coming treats.
Sad faces! The bravas were fresh out of the microwave, doused in a watery, piquant sauce. They were soggy. The (microwaved) Tigres were soggy too! With perhaps unfounded optimism, the Burgalesa and I agree that these ought to have been good Tigres, and might have been if they were fresher. They were served with excellent bread, and solid, unwatered sherry in a square bottle.
